Company History

Aquatic Services is a third-generation family-owned company founded in 1964. What began as a

lake cleanup company has become a diversified business. We are a New Jersey State Certified

Laboratory and are involved in all facets of lake management and garden pond care/construction.

The beginnings of Aquatic Services are linked to a serious drought which existed in New Jersey

during the early 1960s. Due to an emergency measure, all lakes in the state were converted to

reservoir usage. It was necessary to eradicate weeds to increase water quality and harvesting was

the primary method utilized to accomplish this goal. In the beginning of the 1970s, chemical

treatment of weeds became another popular method of application. We are proud to be the oldest

lake service applicator in New Jersey.

In addition, application methodology has changed over the years. During the 1970s, Aquatic

Services used boats, air boats and helicopters to achieve cleanup goals. Lake service applications,

along with safety protocol and practices, have been consistently refined.

Finally, it was a natural fit when Aquatic Services branched into garden pond maintenance and

construction during the 1990s. Throughout our 54 years of service, customer satisfaction and safety

remain Aquatic Service’s number one goals.
